THE CAR : Built by Bill Blydenstein with DTV support for Gerry Marshall in 1971 who went on to record 62 wins in the car. Marshall won the 1972 BARC Championship outright and his class again in both 1973 and 1974 the latter when back out of retirement after the early demise of its replacement Big Bertha .

Then raced by Bill Dryden winning a further 3 races and taking the 1975 Scottish Championship.

Having spent most of the subsequent time in the ownership of the Marshall family and in the Donington Museum and occasional appearences Old Nail returned to competition at the Silverstone round in 2015
