THE CAR : was originally just a 1974 911 E
tub that previous owner/racer Gideon Hudson turned into a RSR-spec racer and his 3rd overall in the 1987 Intermarque championship was enough to head the Porsche teams prize. Current owner John Griffiths bought the car in 1994 and he has continued to modify and develop the car , adding twin turbos and that destinctive 935 flat nose-style . John raced in the Intermarque and a few times with special guest drivers too, Tony Dron in the Silverstone classic event and Ian Flux as an invitational entry to the Bahrain GT race.

Porsches - Fiat ( below )
However these days John leaves most of the racing to Mark Ticehurst who made a big impact on the CSCC Specoial Saloons + Modsports series in 2014 winning 6 races to date. Owner John Griffiths explained the car has retained as much period mechanicals as possible , no engine management chips. So good old fashioned flame outs are a common sight with the car. , a sight popular with kids of all ages we agreed.
